What Are The Odds? Is a band of diverse sounds from all walks of musicianship. They bring an immensely HEAVY and passionate sound, that doesn’t shy away from a good groove.

The early formation of the band started with the Gretz brothers, Nonny and Andrew, who have been playing drums and guitar together since they were tots. Late in the autumn of 2022 they summoned the idea of the project that would later become WATO. As spring rolled around, they adopted the two final instrumentalists of the soundscape. Logan first on bass guitar, followed by James (who had played in previous projects with Andrew) on guitar.

Once the soundscape had established its foundation, the group unanimously decided to branch out and begin the search for the final missing piece of it all. A mouthpiece, and a liaison.

After a mixture of slim chance, and pure luck, the perfect vocalist managed to manifest before the group's very eyes. Psalt very quickly found a creative home and has grown into the structure seamlessly since.

After a solid year of grinding and reaching success, Nonny and Andrew decided to focus more on family life than pursuing a career with WATO. They decided that they preferred to take music at their own pace.

Nonetheless, the group has gone from walking to sprinting ravenously towards their goals. Logan, James, and Psalt have no plans of slowing down, and are excited to show the world what they are made of. They plan to keep on pushing with their amazing temp musicians, until they find their perfect pieces.

WATO is not only an entirely original sound, it is an engaging live experience.
